The Chapel Hill Philharmonia is an all volunteer community symphony orchestra performing in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Donald L. Oehler, Professor of Music at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, serves as Music Director.

Entering its 26th season in service to the community, the Chapel Hill Philharmonia has performed a wide variety of classical and modern music. The orchestra gives free concerts each year in the Fall, the Winter, and the Spring.

Chapel Hill Philharmonia musicians span a wide range of ages and occupations including professional scientists, teachers, physicians, homemakers, college and post-graduate students, UNC and Duke Faculty, and retired members of the community. What they all have in common is a love of good music and a commitment to playing it for their enjoyment and the enjoyment of others. Membership in the orchestra is available without audition.

Each year, the orchestra sponsors a Student Concerto Competition. The winner performs with the orchestra in the Spring Concert. This past spring's winner was William B. Clark.
