Music for Children

Since 2008, the CHP has performed an annual Children’s Concert – a real treat for audiences and performers, alike. The engaging programs feature audience participation and a chance for children to conduct from the podium.

Young Artist Concerto Competition

Since the orchestra's founding, the CHP has sponsored an annual concerto competition for pre-college musicians from around the Triangle. Winners receive cash awards and perform in the orchestra's spring concert. Many of our previous winners are now accomplished musicians or students at acclaimed conservatories.

Collaboration

We are honored to share the stage with world-class soloists, professional musicians, and other local arts groups.

This orchestra merits our respect – and our support. Its members do this work out of love for the music and to enrich the community that is its home.
